STEP 1 - Go to the official MahaDBT portal at mahadbt.maharashtra.gov.in and register as a user. Complete the Aadhaar authentication process.

STEP 2 - Update the profile with the mobile number, address and land holding details.

STEP 3 - Select the Individual Farm Pond scheme and choose the correct category, pond type (with or without inlet and outlet) and the preferred size.

STEP 4 - Submit the application and keep the acknowledgement for future reference. Construction should begin only after the department issues a pre-sanction letter.

Magel Tyala Shettale Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, a farmer should meet the following land holding requirements:

• For farmers in the Konkan region, at least 0.20 hectares of land is required.
• For farmers in the rest of Maharashtra, at least 0.40 hectares of land is required.

The land must be technically suitable for construction so that natural rainwater runoff can be captured. A farmer who has already received a subsidy for a farm pond, community tank or bodi under any other government scheme cannot apply again.
