Latest Update: New GR Issued for Ladki Bahin Yojana (August 2025)
A new government resolution (GR) has been released by the Maharashtra government on 4th August 2025, bringing important updates for the beneficiaries of the Ladki Bahin Yojana. According to this official order, the government has approved a fresh fund release of ₹410.30 crore for the financial year 2025-26, ensuring that eligible women continue to receive ₹1,500 per month directly in their Aadhaar-linked bank accounts through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system. This update will benefit thousands of women across Maharashtra who are dependent on the scheme for financial support.
GR clearly states that all eligible women, widowed, destitute, divorced, abandoned, or helpless, aged between 21 to 65 years will continue to get this monthly assistance. The government is focusing on providing timely help to strengthen the economic independence, health, and nutrition of women in the state. The funds will be managed and distributed by the Women and Child Development Department through a special account in the State Bank of India.
While this latest government order mainly deals with the allocation and disbursement of funds, it also highlights the commitment of the Maharashtra government towards the empowerment of women. Beneficiaries are reminded to keep their Aadhaar-linked bank details updated for smooth transfer of the scheme amount.
