UP adds 20,48,712 PM-JAY beneficiaries in 2026 drive
Uttar Pradesh added 20,48,712 people under Ayushman Bharat-Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana during a special campaign from May 15 to August 14, 2026. Jaunpur recorded the highest number of new cards, 78,427.
Bareilly issued 75,636 cards, Prayagraj 73,976, Budaun 61,112, Lucknow 58,534, Moradabad 54,754 and Rampur 52,776.
In the annual assessment announced in October 2026, Rampur ranked first in Uttar Pradesh after issuing 1.79 lakh cards over the preceding year. It had issued 6,91,928 cards in total. The scheme gives eligible families cashless hospitalisation cover of up to ₹5 lakh per family per year for secondary and tertiary care.
