West Bengal targets 22 crore person-days under VB-G RAM-G
West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari said the state is on track to generate 22 crore person-days of employment under VB-G RAM-G, after a review meeting with the Panchayat and Rural Development Department.
Adhikari said the programme was generating over 7 lakh jobs daily, with 22 lakh rural residents actively employed. He also said Aadhaar-based KYC checks had removed 31 lakh names from MGNREGA records and 10 lakh new job cards had been issued to applicants.
