The full name of this scheme is Shaheed Mahendra Karma Tendupatta Sangrahak Samajik Suraksha Yojana. The support amount given to the nominee or heir of the deceased or disabled collector depends on the age of the head of the family at the time of death or disability.
Support amount when age is below 50 years
For a registered collector family whose head is below 50 years of age, the support amount is given as per the following details.
- On normal death, the family gets ₹2 lakh as support amount.
- On death in an accident, an additional ₹2 lakh is given, making the total support ₹4 lakh.
- On full disability in an accident, the collector gets ₹2 lakh as support.
- On partial disability, a support amount of ₹1 lakh is given to the affected collector.
Support amount when age is between 51 and 59 years
For a registered collector family whose head is between 51 and 59 years of age, the support amount is lower and is given as per the following details.
- On normal death, the family gets ₹30,000.
- On death in an accident, the family gets ₹75,000.
- On full disability in an accident, the collector gets ₹75,000.
- On partial disability, a support amount of ₹37,500 is given to the affected collector.

Eligibility for the scheme
To get the benefit of this scheme, the head of the tendupatta collector family who dies or becomes disabled should be 59 years of age or less. All registered tendupatta collector families are eligible for this scheme.
The scheme is meant for families that are registered with the state minor forest produce cooperative system. There is no separate registration process for this scheme, as the benefit is given to families already registered as tendupatta collectors.
How the support amount is paid
