Applications opened on 27 March 2026 and the last date to apply online is 31 May 2026, through the SJMS portal at sjmsnew.rajasthan.gov.in or the SSO portal at sso.rajasthan.gov.in.
Merit lists for admission are being released in stages, on 10 April, 23 April, 4 May and 11 May 2026. Students who get a seat in these hostels or residential schools also get hostel fee support ranging from ₹15,000 to ₹30,000 a year, meant for SC, ST, OBC, SBC and EWS category students studying 12th class or college courses away from home.

Below is the complete process to get admission in Rajasthan government hostels and residential schools for the current session.
Govt. Hostels / Residential Schools Online Registration & Login
Here is the apply online process for admission in Rajasthan govt. hostels / residential schools through registration and login on the SJMS portal.
STEP 1 - All new users can register at the Rajasthan Single Sign On (SSO) portal at https://sso.rajasthan.gov.in/register.
STEP 2 - Rajasthan govt. hostels / residential schools online registration form will appear as shown below.
STEP 3 - Fill in all the required details to complete registration. Existing users can directly log in at https://sso.rajasthan.gov.in/signin.
STEP 4 - Rajasthan govt. hostels / residential schools login form will appear as shown below.
STEP 5 - In case a user already has a "User Name" and "Password", click at the "Existing User" link. If not, click at the "New User" link. In case the Username or Password is lost or forgotten, it can be reset by writing an email at support.sje@rajasthan.gov.in
STEP 6 - After login, click at the "Application" link, then at the "SJMS SMS" tab on the dashboard and click at the "Hostel & RREIS" tab, as shown below. Note that this SJMS dashboard now runs on the sjmsnew.rajasthan.gov.in portal, so the same login is used there.
STEP 7 - Rajasthan Hostel and RREIS Admission Form will open, which needs to be filled and submitted before the last date.
SJMS helpdesk number is 0141-2226638 (9:30 a.m to 6 p.m, Monday to Friday). Students already getting benefit under a scheme such as Anuprati Coaching Scheme can check this hostel admission separately, as both are handled by different sections of the same department.
