Check AP Jagananna Vidya Deevena Scheme 2024 Payment Status, Date Wise Installments: Andhra Pradesh govt. has launched Jagananna Vidya Deevena Scheme 2024 to benefit mothers of children pursuing higher education. Chief Minister Y.S Jagan Mohan Reddy has released first installment of Jagan Anna Vidya Deevena Scheme on 19 April 2021, second installment on 29 July 2021, 3rd installment on 30 November 2021, 4th installment on 16 March 2022, 5th installment on 05 May 2022 and 6th installment on 11 August 2022. A total amount of Rs. 693 crore in 6th installment (earlier 709 crore in 5th installment, 708 crore in 4th installment, 686 cr in 3rd installment, 693.81 cr in 2nd installment, 671.45 cr in 1st installment) is paid directly to accounts of women whose children are pursuing higher education.
Jagananna Vidya Deevena Scheme aims to help students from relatively low income backgrounds in getting higher education. Money under the scheme to be credited directly to the accounts of students mothers. Previously money used to transferred to owners of colleges. Jagananna Vidya Deevena 6th Installment Update
Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy deposited Rs. 693 crore into the bank accounts of 11.02 lakh mothers of students as part of April-June 2022 quarter total fee reimbursement under Jagananna Vidya Deevena at a programme held at Bapatla on 11 August 2022. With an aim of providing higher education to poor students, the state government is reimbursing fee regularly on quarterly basis by depositing the amount into the accounts of mothers of students studying ITI, polytechnic, degree, engineering, medicine and other courses.
So far the state government deposited Rs. 11,715 crore under Jaganna Vidya Deevana and Jagananna Vasathi Deevana schemes including payment of arrears of Rs. 1,778 crore kept pending by previous government. In addition, the state government has been providing financial assistance of Rs. 20,000 to students pursuing degree, engineering and medicine, Rs. 15,000 for polytechnic students and Rs. 10,000 for ITI students under Jagananna Vasathi Deevana scheme towards boarding and lodging expenses.
Under Jagananna Vidya Deevana, 2,17,238 SC students, 45,450 ST students, 5,30,995 BC students, 1,02,707 Kapu community students and 70,964 minority students are getting benefit. The State government appealed to mothers of students to pay the concerned college fee within 10 days after the amount is credited into their account and if they fail to do so, the next installment will be paid directly to colleges.
AP Jagananna Vidya Deevena Scheme 2024 Installments (Date Wise)
Under this AP Jagananna Vidya Deevena Scheme 2024, AP govt. will provide 100% fee reimbursement to students from poor category. Earlier in the month of April 2021, the first installment was released amounting to Rs. 671.45 crore to benefit 10.88 lakh students. Then in the month of July 2021, the second installment was released amounting to Rs. 693.81 crore to benefit 10.97 lakh students. Then the third installment was released in November 2021 amounting to Rs. 686 crore to benefit 11.03 lakh students. Then the fourth installment was released in March 2022 amounting to Rs. 708 crore to benefit 10.82 lakh students. Then in the month of May 2022, the fifth installment was released amounting to Rs. 709 crore to benefit 10.85 lakh students. Now in the month of August 2022, the sixth installment has been released amounting to Rs. 693 crore to benefit 11.02 lakh students.

This Jagananna Vidya Deevena scheme was earlier approved on 27 November 2019. Along with this scheme, AP govt. has also launched 2 other major schemes namely Jagananna Vasathi Deevena Scheme and YSR Kapu Nestam Scheme which were approved on the same day in cabinet. Jagananna Vidya Deevena Scheme will enable students to pursue their education without worrying about expenses. The state govt. of AP will pay fees for all quarters in a single fiscal year without any arrears. AP Jagananna Vidya Deevena Scheme Eligibility
The important features and highlights of 100% Fee Reimbursement Scheme are as follows:-
- Under Jagan Anna Vidya Deevena Scheme, the fee of students belonging to Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, backward classes, minorities, Kapus, economically backward classes and differently-abled categories will be reimbursed.
- Any student whose annual family income is less than Rs. 2.5 lakh are eligible under Jagananna Vidya Deevena Scheme.
- Those with 10 acres of wetland and 25 acres of dry land are also eligible for the benefit.
- There is no income limit for students hailing from families of sanitation works and those who are professionally dependent on taxi, auto, and tractor. However, The income taxpayers will not be eligible.
- Initially, the full fee reimbursement will be extended to students pursuing B Tech, B Pharmacy, M Tech, M Pharmacy, MBA, MCA, BEd and such courses.
