Shramik Basera Yojana – Details
Shramik Basera Yojana is an initiative aimed at providing temporary accommodation to registered construction workers in Gujarat. The scheme offers prefabricated housing with essential amenities that can be dismantled when no longer needed. This initiative is designed to ensure that construction workers have access to decent living conditions while working on various projects, promoting their well-being and productivity. The temporary housing is constructed near the workers’ workplace, making it convenient for them to access the facilities without significant travel.
To be eligible for the Shramik Basera Yojana, construction workers must be registered with the Gujarat Building and Other Construction Labor Welfare Board. This registration extends to their families as well. Workers must present their identity card or smart card, known as the e-Nirman card, to avail of the accommodation benefits. It is crucial that the e-Nirman card is kept up to date to continue receiving assistance under this scheme. The process ensures that only genuine and registered workers benefit from the housing facilities.
