PM E-DRIVE scheme extended until 31 March 2028
PM Electric Drive Revolution in Innovative Vehicle Enhancement (PM E-DRIVE) scheme runs until 31 March 2028 for all categories, except for the e-3W L5 segment, which is now closed. The scheme has a budget of ₹10,900 crore.
Government initially set aside ₹4,391 crore to buy 14,028 electric buses. The scheme gives support for these categories:
- Electric Two-Wheelers (e-2W)
- Electric Three-Wheelers (e-3W)
- Electric Buses
- Electric Ambulances
- Electric Trucks
- Public Charging Infrastructure
- Upgradation of Vehicle Testing Agencies
