Four Arrested in PM Fasal Bima Yojana Fraud; SIT Probes 200 Policies in Nagaur

Rajasthan police's Special Investigation Team has arrested a fourth accused, CSC operator Dharmendra, in an alleged Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana fraud in Nagaur. Around 200 crop insurance policies are being checked by the SIT.
Surendra Kudi, Ramprakash and Devraj are on four-day police remand. Nagaur Additional Superintendent of Police Asaram Choudhary said their questioning together led to Dharmendra's arrest.
The accused used fake sharecropping agreements made on land belonging to other account holders and got crop insurance policies in their own names, according to the SIT. They forged signatures of landholders and used Aadhaar cards and bank passbooks for this.
Police think the accused were getting ready to claim insurance money if crops got damaged. The probe covers the fake agreements, how the documents were made, online applications sent through CSC IDs, and how the policies were issued.
