Bihar Launches New Initiatives for Women Empowerment

Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary has launched three schemes to help women with safety, education, and business. Through Police Didi (Abhaya Brigade), the government provided 4,700 scooters and motorcycles to women police. This helps them monitor safety near schools and colleges more easily.

Support for education and business

For higher education, Mukhyamantri Balika PhD Fellowship gives 1,000 girl students ₹10,000 each month for four years. Also, Bihar Ki Beti Startup Challenge Scheme provides money between ₹50,000 and ₹2 lakh to 2,100 women to start their own businesses.

The government is working to connect 1 crore women with jobs through Jeevika and other areas. They also plan to make emergency service 112 reach people in under 7 minutes. These are part of several women welfare schemes to help female citizens across the state.
