1,400 New Rural Development Posts Announced for Kalyana Karnataka

Rural development and panchayat raj minister Eshwar Khandre announced updates for Kalyana Karnataka region. The government will soon issue a notice to fill 1,400 new posts in the department. This is part of a plan to fill 72,000 jobs across different sectors in the state.

Government is busy strengthening local administration. Recently, 76 new panchayat development officers got appointment letters and 80 Grade-I secretaries were promoted. Also, Mahatma Gandhi Nagar Vikas Yojana 2.0 has received Rs 200 crore for the 2026-27 period. This money will help improve roads and drains in Bidar. This effort matches schemes launched by PM Narendra Modi to support rural and urban development.

Project updates

Kalyana Karnataka Region Development Board continues its work. It sanctioned Rs 430.4 crore for this year. Current projects include expanding Bhalki Taluk Hospital and upgrading six community health centres.
