About PM Kisan Tractor Yojana 2024
In the modern era, farming is undergoing massive modernization and agriculture sector is expanding its scope. Accordingly, the central govt. is encouraging agricultural mechanization and taking every possible step to increase farm productivity. Subsequently, the union govt. has allocated Rs. 56 crore for PM Kisan Tractor Yojana implementation.
The new initiative, namely PM Kisan Tractor Scheme 2024, is a centrally sponsored initiative to provide financial support to farmers to enable them to purchase tractors. Each eligible farmer is entitled to get subsidy of up to 20% of tractor’s cost, or a maximum of Rs. 50,000 (whichever is less).
PM Kisan tractor Yojana is part of the government’s attempts to boost agricultural productivity and enhance farmers livelihoods across the country. Farmers production and efficiency can be increased by providing access to modern farming equipment such as tractors, thus enhancing their income and quality of life.
Eligibility Criteria for PM Kisan Tractor Yojana
Indian Farmers who wish to avail benefit of PM Kisan Tractor Yojana must fulfill some of qualifying conditions which are listed below. Only those farmers who follows eligibility criteria can participate in central govt’s tractor scheme and get subsidy.
- It is for the first time that farmer is purchasing a tractor i.e farmer has never before purchased a tractor.
- Farmer must have arable land.
- PM Tractor Scheme is only available to small and marginal farmers.
- Incentive can be taken only once for a tractor in the entire lifetime of farmer.
- PM Kisan tractor Yojana is only open to one person per family.
- Farmer will only get subsidy for purchase of 1 tractor under this scheme.

How to Apply Online for PM Kisan Tractor Yojana
Just like other subsidy schemes, the central govt. may invite PM Kisan Tractor Yojana 2024 online application / registration form. As this scheme has just been launched, so there is no official information released by the central govt. on this scheme. It is expected that the central govt. will start a new dedicated portal to apply online for PM Kisan Tractor scheme soon. Also you would be able to fill PM Kisan Tractor Yojana registration form through common service centers (CSC).

Implementation of PM Kisan Tractor Scheme
Department of Agriculture, Union Govt. of India implements many central and state-supported initiatives, as well as internationally sponsored projects. With finalization of the annual action plan of the centrally supported initiatives, the central government receives the funds in 1 or 2 installments per year. In addition to this, state-sponsored initiatives are funded in stages.
