About Nanaji Deshmukh Awas Yojana 2026
The Shree Nanaji Deshmukh Awas Yojana was launched by the Labour and Employment Department, Government of Gujarat, under the Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board (GBOCWWB). The scheme helps poor families of registered construction workers by providing safety support, stopping migration, raising work productivity and offering a pucca home with sanitation. Registered construction workers in urban areas who have been allotted EWS or LIG houses under the Chief Minister Awas Yojana or Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana can get this benefit once per family.
Under this scheme, after a construction worker gets registered in the GBOCWWB and is allotted an EWS/LIG house by the Urban Development Authority, Local Self-Government or Gujarat Housing Board, the board reimburses Rs 1,60,000 to the allotted agency as financial help for the beneficiary.

The worker must be registered with the Gujarat Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board as a construction worker and must have the registration card with full details. The registered worker must have been allotted an EWS/LIG house in an urban area by the Gujarat Housing Board, Local Self-Government or Urban Development Authority. The registered worker or any family member should not own any house or property in their name. Workers who got a house allotted by any of these agencies before their GBOCWWB registration date are not eligible for this scheme.
