Delhi Government has launched Mukhya Mantri Digital Education free laptop scheme to provide laptops to the meritorious students in Delhi. This scheme will empower such students with digital access and modern learning tools by providing them free high-performance i7 laptops.
Under the new free laptop scheme, 1,200 top-performing Class 10 students in government schools will get laptops which will help them bridge the digital divide and encourage academic excellence across Delhi.

Selection Process & List of Beneficiaries
The Education Department of Delhi will prepare a merit list based on Class 10 board results. Top 1,200 students from government schools will be identified as beneficiaries of the scheme and the official list of selected students will be published on the Delhi Education Department website or notified to schools directly. Selected students and their families will be informed through their school authorities.

How to Get the Laptop: Process for Selected Students
There is no separate application is needed for getting free laptop under this scheme. The list of beneficiaries will be prepared by the Education Department after exam results. Selected students will be informed by their respective schools. Schools will guide students on how and where to collect their laptops. Distribution camps or ceremonies may be organized for laptop handover.
ICT Labs & Additional Initiatives in Delhi Schools
Apart from free laptops to the students, under Mukhya Mantri Digital Education Scheme, 175 government schools will get new ICT (Information and Communication Technology) labs. Each ICT lab will have 40 modern computers. The aim is to ensure all government schools have functional computer labs for digital education while focusing on training teachers and introducing students to coding, artificial intelligence, and experiential learning. These upgrades will align with the National Education Policy’s focus on digital literacy and future-ready skills.
