UP girls can get ₹25,000 in six Kanya Sumangala instalments

Mukhyamantri Kanya Sumangala Yojana in Uttar Pradesh gives eligible girl children ₹25,000 in six instalments, raised from FY 2024-25. Payments are ₹5,000 at birth, ₹2,000 after complete immunisation, ₹3,000 each on admission to Classes 1 and 6, ₹5,000 on admission to Class 9, and ₹7,000 after Class 12 when admitted to graduation or a diploma course.

Families must live in Uttar Pradesh, have valid residence proof and annual income of no more than ₹3 lakh. Benefits are limited to two girls per family, and the family must have no more than two children. A third girl can qualify if twins are born during the second delivery. The Women and Child Development Department has run the scheme since April 1, 2019. Applications are online through Citizen Services at mksy.up.gov.in, where families can also check eligibility.
