Former Maoist gets PMAY Urban 2.0 house in Nandyal
Former Maoist B. Krishnaveni got a newly built house under Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana Urban 2.0 in Nandyal town, Andhra Pradesh.
Nandyal district collector G. Rajakumari opened the house at Nandamuri Nagar on Tuesday. The house was approved for Krishnaveni under the urban housing scheme for eligible families without homes.
Rajakumari said the government runs PMAY Urban 2.0 to help poor families own a house. She called the scheme a way to give secure housing to urban families without homes.
The collector asked officials to coordinate work so eligible families get benefits from government welfare schemes.
