NMMS app adds offline attendance and stronger worker verification under VB-G RAM G

Union Rural Development Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched an upgraded National Mobile Monitoring System (NMMS) app for recording attendance under VB-G RAM G. The update adds device security checks, AI-based face verification, liveness detection and safeguards against cloning and tampering.

Workers can record attendance offline where there is no network and upload it after connectivity returns and the muster roll closes. An authorised exception process is available when face checks fail for elderly workers or people with disabilities, or when a device has technical problems. NMMS app listing identifies the app as a Department of Rural Development product.
