SSY third account allowed for twins or triplets in specified birth orders
Families may open more than two Sukanya Samriddhi Yojana accounts if twin or triplet girls are born in the first or second birth order, subject to the scheme rules.
The guardian must submit an affidavit and birth certificates to show that the multiple births occurred in the first two birth orders. The exception does not apply to a girl child in the second birth order if the first order resulted in two or more surviving girls. Read the official Sukanya Samriddhi Account Scheme rules.
