PM-KUSUM solar pump subsidy cuts installation cost to Rs 47,000 in Haryana
PM-KUSUM scheme subsidy on solar pump installation brought down the cost for a farmer in Hansi district from around Rs 1 lakh to Rs 47,000.
Sandeep Fauji of Dhana Kalan village said the solar setup took the place of costly diesel tubewells. He now waters a four-acre orchard and grows vegetables in the gaps between trees.
Ashok Yadav, another farmer from the area, mentioned that steady water supply helped him switch from wheat and sorghum to vegetables such as cauliflower and fruit-bearing trees.
