Short Update
Koyilandy fishing harbour second-phase development nears completion at ₹26.78 crore

Second-phase work at Koyilandy fishing harbour is almost finished under Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana. The total cost is ₹26.78 crore, split between Union and State governments in a 60:40 ratio. Most building work is done, with only CCTV installation left. Officials will announce an inauguration date soon.
Project details
Development work includes a 100-metre-long finger jetty, road access, rest areas, a net-mending shed, an office building, a renovated auction hall, and a 10-tonne cold storage unit. The project also included dredging work worth ₹5.88 crore, finished over a year ago. This facility helps fishing vessels spend less time waiting at the harbour.
