Benefits of Subhadra Yojana
Under this scheme, women will receive Rs 10,000 every year in two installments. The money will be deposited directly into their bank accounts on International Women’s Day (March 8) and during Raksha Bandhan. Over five years, they will get Rs 50,000. Women will also receive a Subhadra Debit Card, and those who use it for digital transactions will get an extra Rs 500.
Budget for Subhadra Yojana
The Odisha government has allocated INR 55,825 crore for the Subhadra Yojana. The scheme will run from the financial year 2024-2025 to 2028-2029. Around 1 crore women will benefit, receiving Rs 50,000 each over five years. The top 100 women in each gram panchayat and urban local body who make the most digital transactions will get an extra Rs 500.
Eligibility for Subhadra Yojana
To be eligible for Subhadra Yojana, you must:
- Be a woman living in Odisha.
- Be between the ages of 21 and 60.
- Have your date of birth listed on your Aadhaar card.
- Not be from a wealthy family, a government employee, or a taxpayer.
- Not be receiving more than Rs 1,500 per month or Rs 18,000 per year from any other government scheme.
Exclusions from Subhadra Yojana
You will be excluded from the Subhadra Yojana if:
- You receive financial help from another government program worth Rs 1,500 or more per month or Rs 18,000 or more per year.
- You or your family members are elected representatives (except ward members and councilors).
- You are a taxpayer, pension holder, or government employee.
- Your family earns more than Rs 2.5 lakh annually.
- Your family owns a car or more than five acres of land.
- However, women with sickle cell anemia, widows, and disabled women are not excluded.

To apply for Subhadra Yojana, you’ll need:
- Aadhaar Card with your name.
- Mobile number linked to your Aadhaar.
- A bank account that supports Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
- If your Aadhaar details are incorrect, you’ll need to update them.
- If you don’t have a DBT-enabled bank account, you’ll need to open one and complete the e-KYC process.
How to Apply for Subhadra Yojana
Women can apply for Subhadra Yojana by filling out forms available for free at Block offices, Mo Seva Kendras, Jan Seva Kendras, and Anganwadi Centres. A call center will also be set up to help. Women who make the most digital payments using their Subhadra Yojana Debit Card will receive rewards, and 100 women will be chosen for this reward.
