Shravan Bal Seva Yojana Maharashtra Eligibility Criteria
Here is the complete eligibility criteria for Shravan Bal Seva Yojana of older people:
- Category A – Under this scheme, every destitute person of age 65 years & above & whose annual family income is below Rs. 21000/- & whose name is not included in the BPL List get Rs. 600/- per month from the state government.
- Category B – In addition to Category A, every destitute person of age 65 years and above and belonging to BPL family is eligible to get pension of Rs. 400/- per month from the state government. Moreover, the same beneficiary also receives pension of Rs. 200/- per month from the central govt. under Indira Gandhi National Old Age pension Scheme.
- Must be a resident of Maharashtra State for at least 15 years.
- The family name should be included in the list of families below the poverty line in rural / urban areas or the annual income of the family should be up to Rs. 50,000/- per year for disabled beneficiaries and up to Rs. 21,000/- for all other beneficiaries.
A person receiving regular monthly financial benefits under any other government scheme will not be eligible to receive benefits under the Shravan Bal Seva State Pension Scheme.
Documents Required
Age Proof: Any one of these – Birth certificate from Gram Panchayat / Municipal body, school leaving certificate, ration card, voter list, Aadhaar card. If not available, an age certificate from a Government Medical Officer (with name, registration number) can be given.
Income Proof: Certificate from Tehsildar or Sub-Divisional Officer showing the family is below poverty line.
Residence Proof: Certificate from Gram Sevak / Talathi / Mandal Inspector, or residence certificate issued by a court.
After the beneficiaries of Sanjay Gandhi Niradhar Anant Yojana attain the age of 65 years, they will be included in the Shravan Bal Sewa State Pension Scheme and Indira Gandhi National Old Age Pension Scheme subject to the criteria of these schemes.
The Government also reserves the right to approve the application of an applicant who meets the prescribed conditions and is received by the Government in a particular case.
