UP BC Sakhi Yojana pays rural women ₹4,000 a month for first six months

Uttar Pradesh government's BC Sakhi Yojana gives rural women a fixed salary of ₹4,000 a month for the first six months after they start work as banking sakhis in their village. The scheme runs under Uttar Pradesh State Rural Livelihood Mission (UPSRLM).

A woman who joins gets commission on the bank transactions she handles for villagers, so more transactions mean more earning. UPSRLM may also give up to ₹50,000 to buy the devices needed for the work, such as a fingerprint scanner. The rules for this support should be read while filling the form.

Who can apply: age between 18 and 50 years, at least 10th pass, resident of Uttar Pradesh, member of a self help group in the village, and able to use a smartphone and the internet.

Documents needed are Aadhaar card, 10th marksheet, bank passbook, residence proof, passport size photo, an active mobile number and the self help group slip or proof.

How to fill the form

  • Download the BC Sakhi app on the phone or open the UPSRLM official website.

  • Fill name, address, education and gram panchayat details in the form.
  • Upload clear photos of the required documents.
  • Check the details and submit the form.
