Short Update
Odisha proposes adding 28 ULBs to PMAY 2.0

State government has proposed adding 28 more urban local bodies (ULBs) to Centre's Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban (PMAY-U) 2.0. This will bring all 100 ULBs in Odisha under the housing scheme.
Housing and urban development department issued an order directing executive officers of these new ULBs to start identifying eligible beneficiaries. Process includes checking housing and income status to ensure urban poor and middle-income families without a pucca house can get benefits.
Progress so far
Odisha has already approved 24,625 houses under PMAY 2.0. ULBs have geo-tagged 23,464 sites. Foundation work started for 3,134 houses, while 2,008 reached completion stage.
