ACB Probes Alleged Irregularities in PMGSY Road Projects in Changlang

Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) started an investigation into potential negligence and money irregularities involving Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana road projects in Changlang, Arunachal Pradesh. Local officials and party members spoke up after finding projects marked as done in records, even though real construction work was still missing.

Investigation Details

Complaints show that two road projects run by a private contractor have seen very little progress. One project only finished two kilometres of road. Another project remains half-done even though it was given a full completion certificate. ACB team members inspected these sites in March 2026. They are currently looking into the work of six departmental engineers and officials responsible for managing these projects.
