Punjab Labour Card Apply Online Form 2024 – Department of Labour, Punjab government is inviting Labour Card online application at pblabour.gov.in. People can now check the complete schemes list run by Building and Other Construction Workers (BOCW) Welfare Board for labourers. In case any construction worker wants to avail BOCW schemes benefit, then he / she can make Punjab labour department registration. For this purpose, each person will have to fill Punjab Labour Card Apply Online Form 2020 at the official website.
Punjab BOCW board is running various schemes namely stipend scheme, shagun yojana, LTC, ex-gratia, general surgery, tool kit scheme, maternity benefit scheme, Balri Tohfa Yojana etc. for labourers. Any building worker, construction labourer or any other person who is doing labour work in Punjab can now fill scheme application form at e-Labour Card portal.
The labourers can now apply online for labour card as well as labour card schemes while sitting at their home easily. Now we will tell you the complete Punjab Labour Card application / registration process to get BOCW schemes benefits.
Punjab Labour Card Online Registration / Application Form 2024
Below is the complete process to apply online by filling Punjab Labour Card online registration / application form:-
STEP 1: Firstly, visit the e-Labour Card website at pblabour.gov.in
STEP 2: At the homepage, click at the “Create New User” tab present on the right side of the page.
STEP 3: Afterwards, the Punjab Labour Card online registration form 2024 will appear as shown below:-
STEP 4: In this form, enter all the necessary details correctly, e-mail ID, mobile number and then click at “Submit” button to complete registration process.
STEP 5: Then applicants can click at the http://bocw.punjab.gov.in/ link and click at the “Login” tab at the top.
STEP 6: Direct Link to Login – https://pblabour.gov.in/eLabour/
STEP 7: Then the Punjab Labour Card login page will appear as shown below:-
STEP 8: Here applicants can login using username & password or mobile number & OTP to open the Punjab Labour Card online application form 2024. In this form, fill in all the details and submit it to complete the Punjab Labour card apply online process. Stipend Scheme for Children of Construction Workers
The children of the registered beneficiaries of the board studying in different classes/ courses are granted stipend as per the new rates w.e.f 1 April 2016:-

Punjab Shagun Scheme for Marriage of Daughters of Construction Workers
The Punjab government has hiked the grant for the marriage of daughters of construction workers from Rs 31,000 to Rs 51,000 under its Shagun Scheme. This hiked amount would be applicable from 1 April 2021. The decision was taken by Chief Minister Amarinder Singh while chairing the 27th meeting of the Building and Other Construction Workers (BOCW) Welfare Board via videoconferencing. Daughters of construction workers registered with the BOCW Welfare Board are eligible for the grant under the Shagun Scheme.
Further, to ease the process of availing the benefit of the scheme, the chief minister has approved modification in the existing conditions to make valid marriage certificates issued by any religious body, gurdwaras, temples and churches, acceptable for the purpose. While 50% payment can be availed in advance, the rest shall be provided on submission of the marriage certificate by the competent authority under the revised rules.
An amount of Rs. 31,000 as Shagun was earlier provided on marriage of upto 2 daughters of registered construction workers. This amount has now been raised to Rs. 51,000. Here are the important features of Shagun Yojana for construction labourers:-
A) The Shagun Scheme shall be applicable only once on the occasion of marriage of two daughters (upto two daughters marriage) and shall not be applicable in the case of second marriage.
B) If the daughter is herself registered as beneficiary with the Board, she shall also be entitled for the amount of Shagun on the occasion of her own marriage.
C) The registered workman can submit application within 3 months after the fixed date of marriage of the daughter. A certificate obtained from the Marriage Registering Authority is required to be attached with the application.
D) If the Beneficiary has availed such benefits from any other department/ institute of Punjab Government, he will also be entitle to get benefit under this scheme.
Ex Gratia Scheme
The new Ex-gratia rates applicable w.e.f 30 March 2015 are as follows:-

If the beneficiary is getting benefit under the E.S.I, then he shall not be entitled to get benefit under the Exgratia Scheme. Furthermore, if the beneficiary has been issued health card under BPSSBY, he shall not be covered under this scheme for accidental death or total disability benefit.
LTC Scheme
In this Leave Travelling Concession Scheme, each registered construction workers will get Rs. 2000 assistance for journeys of religious/ historical places in India or visiting home town. The beneficiary shall be eligible for this benefit after every two years.
Occupational Diseases Scheme
It is a Medical Health Scheme for Registered Construction Workers and their families. In this scheme, registered construction worker beneficiary can avail the health benefit upto Rs. 1.5 Lacs per year on family floater basis. Occupational Diseases Scheme is being launched with the help of Punjab Health System Corporation. Benefit under this scheme is not less than RSBY scheme.
Funeral Rites Scheme
In this scheme, BOCW will provide financial assistance for expenditure on cremation and last rites in the State of Punjab after the death of a registered construction worker or his family member. An amount of Rs.10000/- is given by the Board for expenditure on cremation and last rites in the State of Punjab after the death of registered construction worker or his family member.
Teeth, Spectacles & Hearing Device Scheme
In this Teeth, Spectacles & Hearing Device Scheme, BOCW will provide financial assistance for Spectacles, denture and hearing aid for the beneficiary construction workers and their family members. Financial assistance (subsidy) at the following rates is given by the Punjab Building & Other Construction Workers Welfare Board in the State of Punjab to its registered beneficiary Construction Workers and their family workers for spectacles, denture and hearing aid:-

General Surgery Aid Scheme
Financial Assistance scheme for “general surgery” of registered beneficiary construction workers and their family members. The Board has approved financial benefit upto Rs. 50,000 or the actual expenses (whichever is less), to the registered beneficiary and their family members for general surgery.
Maternity Benefit Scheme
Board also provide Maternity benefit scheme for registered construction workers. Under this scheme, female construction workers for birth of upto two children will get Rs. 21,000. Under this scheme the male construction worker will also be entitled to avail this financial benefit for the birth of his two children at the rate of Rs. 5,000.
Balri Tohfa Yojana (Birth Gift Scheme)
Financial assistance in the shape of FDR of Rs. 51,000 is given on the birth of a female child (maximum upto two girls), which can be encashed only at the time of marriage of the daughter. The period of fixed deposit shall be preferred first time upto 18 years of age and then upto the marriage of the daughter.
Charanjit Singh Channi-led Congress government has increased the financial assistance under the Balri Scheme for registered construction workers and labourers from ₹50,000 to ₹75,000. The financial assistance under the scheme is given to workers when a girl child is born at their house.
Mentally Retarded Children Benefit Scheme
Financial Assistance Scheme for the care of mentally retarded children (son/daughter) of construction workers @ 20,000/- per year. A certificate of being the child mentally retarded or handicapped obtained from the senior medical officer of the government hospital or ESI hospital is to be uploaded on the web portal of the Board.
Tool Kit Scheme
Financial Assistance upto Rs. 5000/- for the purchase of Tools to the registered construction workers who have obtained training under the Skill Upgradation or RPL Scheme of the Board. A construction worker can get the benefit of the tool kit scheme after every three years.
Pension Scheme
A registered construction worker after completion of 60 year’s age and 3 years of membership, is entitled for a pension of Rs. 2,000 per month. Family Pension @ 1,000/- Rupees per month is also provided by the Board. Membership certificate is immediately issued to the construction worker after his registration with the Board.
Bicycle Scheme for Children of Registered Construction Labourers
In this scheme, the children of registered construction workers who are studying in 9th to 12th class in Punjab will get free bicycle from BOCW board.
Bhagat Puran Singh Sehat Bima Yojana
In this Bhagat Puran Singh Sehat Bima Yojana, all the registered construction labourers can avail benefits of free treatment without any cap on the family size.
