Latest Update – Sehat Bima Yojana Health Card Registration
Health card registrations for this scheme has started from September 23, 2025 in Tarn Taran and Barnala districts. A total of 128 registration camps has been set up in each district. Residents need to carry their Aadhaar card and voter ID card for registration.
The registration will be completed in 10-15 days, after which the scheme will expand across Punjab. Every family will get one health card, ensuring cashless treatment cover of up to ₹10 lakh annually in both government and private empanelled hospitals.
Special health camps will continue in flood-hit areas, and those who miss registration can still access benefits by showing Aadhaar or voter ID.
From Oct 2, 2025, Punjab Mukh Mantri Sehat Bima Yojana (MMSBY) will be launched across the state.

Ayushman Bharat Mukh Mantri Sehat Bima Yojana was announced by the Chief Minister of Punjab. - Premium Cost Sharing – For Ayushman Bharat Yojana beneficiaries, central and state govt. will bear premium cost on 60:40 ratio. For remaining beneficiaries which are included exclusively in Mukh Mantri Sehat Bima Yojana, Punjab govt. will bear the entire premium expenses.
- Where to Avail Treatment – Beneficiaries can avail health services at empanelled private and government hospitals of Punjab and Chandigarh.
- Significance – MMSSBY Scheme will cover 100% of population of state in comparison to 12% covered under PMJAY scheme. Similar schemes in other states only covers around 30% of state’s population.
