Aangan Milan Seva draws 97,471 participants across 2,262 locations in Chhattisgarh

Aangan Milan Seva started on Friday at Anganwadi centres across Chhattisgarh as part of Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, with 12,698 activities held at 2,262 places and 97,471 people taking part.

Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai attended the event in Madku, Mungeli district, and spoke about proper nutrition for mothers and children. Anganwadi centres welcomed pregnant women. Families were shown balanced diets through displays of locally available nutritious food items, pulses, and green vegetables. With the Suposhit Thali, women saw how adding different food items to everyday meals can improve nutrition for mothers and children. Parents of children also took part and shared their own experiences with nutrition and maternal health.

Beneficiaries of Mahtari Vandan Yojana and Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana said the money they get under these schemes helps them meet their own and their families' needs.
