PM Janman Yojana: 85% of permanent road works completed in Balrampur
In Balrampur district of Chhattisgarh, the Pradhan Mantri Janman Yojana is setting up permanent road connectivity to settlements of Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups (PVTGs).
Executive Engineer Sachchidanand Kant said that around 85 per cent of the work to connect 221 PVTG settlements with permanent roads is done. The rest of the projects are ongoing.
The better infrastructure helps ambulance services reach faster in emergencies and makes travel easier for children going to schools. It also speeds up the delivery of government welfare schemes to far-off villages.
