UP Kanya Sumangala Yojana pays ₹25,000 in six stages, says CM Yogi

Uttar Pradesh pays ₹25,000 to a family under Chief Minister Kanya Sumangala Yojana across six stages, from the birth of a girl child to her college admission. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said this at Gorakhpur on 19 October 2026. He also said the government gives ₹1 lakh for a girl's marriage when she reaches marriageable age.
The official website lists the six payments: ₹5,000 at birth, ₹2,000 after full immunisation, ₹3,000 in Class 1, ₹3,000 in Class 6, ₹5,000 in Class 9 and ₹7,000 on admission to a bachelor's degree or a diploma of at least two years.
For Kanya Sumangala Yojana, the family must live in Uttar Pradesh and earn up to ₹3 lakh a year. At most two girls from a family get the money, and the family can have only two children. Applications go through mksy.up.gov.in, and the scheme guide on the portal has the rules.
