Tripura Healthcare Infrastructure Sees Major Expansion

Chief Minister Dr. Manik Saha recently talked about improvements in the state health system. At the opening of a private hospital in Agartala, he mentioned that new facilities have reduced the need to send patients elsewhere. GBP Hospital now has 1413 beds, and new hospitals at the district level are also open.

Health system updates

Important changes include more telemedicine, trauma centres, and transplant services. The government plans to build a 100-bed eye hospital and a medical college in the TTAADC area. Also, Bharat Mata Canteens are opening to help families from remote areas. The state achieved full success in the Mukhyamantri Sustha Shoishab Sustha Koishore Abhiyan vaccination drive, which shows the same focus on health as the Ayushman Bharat Yojana.
