Punjab to distribute 33 lakh Mukhya Mantri Sehat Yojana cards through special camps

Punjab government has decided to launch a campaign to speed up distribution of Mukhya Mantri Sehat Yojana cards. Around 33 lakh cards are expected to reach the districts soon. About 31 lakh cards are already available in the districts, while about 2 lakh more cards are expected soon.

2008 villages and wards have been identified where there are 400 or more eligible beneficiaries. Special distribution camps will be set up there. Information about the camps will be given to beneficiaries first. ASHA workers, ASHA facilitators, health friends and other workers will ensure maximum participation.

In areas with less than 400 beneficiaries, door-to-door delivery of cards will continue. Cards remaining after the camps will also be delivered to homes. ASHA workers will get Rs 10 per card distributed and ASHA facilitators will get Rs 2 per card.
