PM Vishwakarma crosses 30 lakh registrations, Rajasthan ranks fourth

Registrations under PM Vishwakarma have crossed the 30 lakh mark nationally, ahead of the 2028 target. As of September 30, 2026, 30,03,925 artisans and craftspeople were registered, and over 24.39 lakh of them had completed basic training.

Rajasthan ranks fourth in the country. The state has more than 2.30 lakh registrations, and basic training is complete for 2,22,473 people. Carpenters account for the most registrations in the state at 45,958, followed by masons at 38,450. Over 62,000 loans have been sanctioned in Rajasthan and 2,17,084 e-vouchers issued for toolkit support.

Eligible artisans get toolkit support of up to ₹15,000 and loans of up to ₹3 lakh at a concessional interest rate. Nationally, more than 6.23 lakh loans worth about ₹5,350 crore have been sanctioned and over 26.17 lakh toolkit e-vouchers issued. An evaluation by IIM Mumbai found that 93 per cent of the people surveyed reported a rise in income after training.

Applications go through Common Service Centres only. The scheme covers 18 traditional trades, and artisans aged 18 or above who work in the unorganised sector on their own can apply. Registration details are on the PM Vishwakarma Yojana registration page.
