Madhya Pradesh to Launch District Youth Dialogues for Modern Farming

Madhya Pradesh will host agriculture innovation talks at divisional and district levels. This aims to encourage youth to take up modern farming and business. Chief Minister Mohan Yadav noted that students can make farming profitable through methods like polyhouse cultivation, mushroom farming, pearl farming, and beekeeping.

Support for dairy and farming

The state is pushing the Bhimrao Ambedkar Kamdhenu Yojana. This provides a subsidy of ₹10 lakh to start a 25-cow dairy unit. The total cost of the project is about ₹43 lakh. This scheme helps the dairy sector. It also works with the National Dairy Development Board to boost the production of Gir breed calves.

The government is also focusing on fisheries, food processing, and warehousing to help farmers earn more. It is working to expand irrigation and support soybean growers through the Bhavantar scheme.
