Indira Gandhi Sukh Shiksha Yojana gives money to children from poor families in Sundernagar, Mandi. For 2026-27, the government approved ₹53.53 lakh for 435 children in this scheme.
Scheme benefits
Eligible children get ₹1,000 per month until they turn 18. For youth between 18 and 27, the scheme covers:
- Free higher education in government colleges
- Hostel stay
- Food costs
