More than 2 lakh Goa Ujjwala applicants await ₹3,000
Goa's Ujjwala Yojana has paid about one lakh of 3,06,396 applicants, leaving more than two lakh waiting for the promised ₹3,000, Herald Goa reported, more than 45 days after launch.
Launched on September 5, 2026, the scheme promises eligible households ₹3,000 a year for cooking fuel, equal to three domestic LPG cylinder refills.
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant had said the money would be paid before Ganesh Chaturthi and later said it would reach bank accounts soon after Anant Chaturthi. The report says many applicants are still waiting.
