Agri Welfare Portal launched for farmers with mobile scheme access

Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan launched an upgraded Agri Welfare Portal on 19 October 2026. The portal gives farmers direct access to government schemes, financial support and farm information on their mobile phones. Farmers no longer need to visit several government offices or open different websites to read scheme details or submit applications, the minister said at the launch.

The portal works as a single-window gateway to major schemes such as PM-KISAN, AgriStack and Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana. It also has online eligibility checks, application facilities and Direct Benefit Transfer, along with information on weather, scientific farming, seed and fertiliser availability and market prices.

Training through Krishi Vigyan Kendras

A special training campaign will be held through Krishi Vigyan Kendras across the country to help farmers use the portal and other digital tools. The portal also brings Farmer Producer Organisations, Primary Agricultural Credit Societies, agricultural scientists, researchers and startups onto one digital platform.

The portal was built as per the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology's Digital Brand Identity Manual 3.0 and Guidelines for Indian Government Websites 3.0. It supports screen readers and simplified navigation for users with disabilities.
