₹1,000 Crore PMEGP Subsidy for 11,333 New Enterprises
On October 28, Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises announced that ₹1,000 crore in margin-money subsidy under the Prime Minister's Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP) had been released to support 11,333 new micro-enterprises across India.
Projects for the supported enterprises have bank-sanctioned loans of approximately ₹3,260 crore. More than 1.02 lakh employment opportunities are expected, but these are projected outcomes.
