Madhya Pradesh government is running the Laptop Supply Scheme for meritorious students who pass the class 12th board exam with good marks. Under this scheme, the School Education Department gives ₹25,000 to each eligible student to buy a laptop for higher education. The amount is sent directly to the student's bank account through DBT payment.

This scheme is also known as Pratibhashali Vidyarthi Protsahan Yojana (Talented Student Incentive Scheme) and MP Free Laptop Yojana. In the latest round, the state government released over ₹235 crore to more than 94,000 students on 4 July 2025. Around 89,000 students got the benefit in the 2024-25 batch, and the scheme is running again for the 2025-26 batch after the MP Board result.

Students do not need to fill any separate application form. The class teacher prepares the list of eligible students and sends it to the district education officer's office. After checking, the ₹25,000 amount is transferred straight to the student's bank account.

Eligibility

  3. Student should have scored 80% or more marks in the class 12th board exam as per the official records. For example, if Rahul scores 82%, he becomes eligible for the benefit.
  4. Student should have an Aadhaar-linked bank account in his or her own name to receive the DBT payment.

Application Process

The process for this scheme is quite simple because students do not have to fill any separate online form. The school class teacher prepares the required documents and sends the compiled details to the district education officer's office. After the district office verifies the details, the list is approved and the amount is sent through DBT.

STEP 1 - Make sure your school records are accurate and complete. Keep your class 12th marksheet, Aadhaar card and bank account details ready.

STEP 2 - The class teacher prepares the list of eligible students with their marks and sends it to the district education officer's office.

STEP 3 - After checking, the approved list is sent back to the school and the education department.

STEP 4 - The ₹25,000 amount is transferred directly to the student's Aadhaar-linked bank account through DBT payment.

Check Eligibility and Payment Status

Students who passed class 12th can check their name, eligibility and payment status on the official MP Laptop Scheme section on Shiksha Portal. Open the 'पात्रता जानें' (know eligibility) or 'ई-भुगतान की स्थिति' (e-payment status) option on the homepage. Enter your class 12th roll number, select the year and click on 'Get Details of Meritorious Student'. The payment or eligibility status will appear on the screen.
