Internship Policy of Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board
This policy is for students studying in hotel management, tourism, travel, forest management, and related courses. MP Tourism Board places selected interns at the head office, marketing offices, MPTDC units, resorts, hotels, and project locations linked to tourism work.
Stipend depends on the course. Post Graduate Diploma in Forestry Management interns get ₹5,000 per month. MBA, BBA, BA Tourism, and B.Com Tourism students get ₹2,500 per month. Certificate, diploma, and hotel operations trainees get ₹1,500 per month.
Board also gives a training certificate after successful completion. No travel cost, food, or stay is given under the policy, and payment is sent to the intern's bank account through NEFT or RTGS.

2026 update
No separate 2026 notice for changed stipend, a new online portal, or a changed document rule was found on the official board website. Because of that, the current article follows the same official internship policy PDF and the current board contact details shown on the portal.
Important correction is about the apply process. Official policy does not show any direct self-application portal for students. Institutes must send the request letter and student papers to the Deputy Director (Skill Development), MP Tourism Board, Bhopal. That is still the official process shown in the policy document.
Who can apply
Students from recognised institutes linked to tourism and hospitality can apply through their institute. Policy also covers a few related courses when MP Tourism Board allows them.
- Hotel management and food craft students from institutes linked to Government of India or Madhya Pradesh can apply for training.
- Travel and tourism students, including MBA, BBA, BA Tourism, and B.Com Tourism groups, are also covered.
- Indian Institute of Forest Management students, PG diploma students, and some related fields like photography, digital marketing, adventure sports, and biodiversity may also be taken.
Seat pattern and stipend

How to apply
Application is institute-led. Student should first speak with the college or training institute and confirm the preferred batch, course details, and internship module.
STEP 1 - Institute should prepare the request letter and mention the exact internship period. Official policy says this request should reach MP Tourism Board at least one month before the training period starts.
STEP 2 - Institute should send the student papers to the Deputy Director (Skill Development), Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board, 6th Floor, Lily Trade Wing, Jehangirabad, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh 462008.
STEP 3 - After papers are checked, Deputy Director (Skill Development) can select candidates through an interview in person or by telephone or Skype, as mentioned in the policy.
STEP 4 - After written approval, selected students join the training place directly and follow the reporting, logbook, and project submission rules during the internship period.
