Hybrid Chilli Production Program

Category:   Tags: , ,

Madhya Pradesh government is running the Hybrid Chilli Production Program in 2026 for Scheduled Caste farmers who live below the poverty line. Under this program, eligible farmers get money help of ₹1,400 to ₹7,000 plus free seeds, fertilizers and plant protection items for hybrid chilli farming. Applications for the Kharif 2026 season started on the MP Kisan Portal from 01 May 2026.

Horticulture and Food Processing Department of the Government of Madhya Pradesh runs the program. Its main aim is to give Scheduled Caste farmers a way to earn on their own and increase their yearly income through hybrid chilli cultivation. The department has also been holding chilli farming training camps across the state, with the latest one held in Barwani district on 29 July 2026.

Hybrid Chilli Production Program - Introduction

Hybrid Chilli Production Program helps Scheduled Caste farmers below the poverty line with both cash support and farming inputs. Farmers get high quality hybrid chilli seeds, seed treatment chemicals, organic and chemical fertilizers, and insecticide medicines free of cost. This brings down the starting cost of chilli farming and helps farmers get better yields and better prices in the market.

For the Kharif 2026 season, the government has added one new rule for all departmental schemes. Farmers who want to apply must have their land (khasra) details linked with their Farmer ID. If the land record is not linked yet, farmers first need to create their Farmer ID on the MP Farmer Registry portal at mpfr.agristack.gov.in and then apply on the MP Kisan Portal. This is an important change farmers should take care of before applying this year. Also check the list of other Madhya Pradesh government schemes.
