Free Electricity Supply Scheme Madhya Pradesh Details
Scheme is run by Energy Department, Government of Madhya Pradesh. Only SC and ST farmers of the state come under it. Land limit is 1 hectare and pump limit is 5 HP. Benefit is given in kind, which means the pump connection bill is waived instead of money coming into your bank account.

Application Process

STEP 1 - Check your last electricity bill and note the distribution company name, consumer number and the section office address printed on it.
STEP 2 - Visit that section or division office of the distribution company and ask at the counter for the free electricity supply form meant for SC and ST farmers.
STEP 3 - Fill the form with your name, consumer number, pump capacity in HP, land details and caste category exactly as written in your documents.
STEP 4 - Attach self attested copies of caste certificate, land record, Aadhaar card and the latest pump connection bill, then submit the set at the counter and take the receiving slip.
STEP 5 - Office staff check the land record and pump load. Once approved, your pump connection bill starts showing the waiver. If nothing moves for a few weeks, register a complaint on CM Helpline 181 with the receiving slip number.
