Odisha Scholarship Portal at scholarship.odisha.gov.in is now live with new dates and rules for 2025-26 scholarship schemes. Applications and status check options on the portal are also open, along with the new OTR requirement from National Scholarship Portal for students.
From this year, all eligible ST, SC, OBC/SEBC and EBC students applying for Post Matric scholarships must generate an OTR number on scholarships.gov.in and enter it in the Odisha portal. Payments go directly to bank accounts through IFMS, so money reaches faster with better clarity.
Important: First create OTR on scholarships.gov.in, then apply at scholarship.odisha.gov.in. A simple PDF guide is available on the portal under STEP BY STEP GUIDELINE FOR OTR.
Portal uses Aadhaar based login and is integrated with SAMS, e-District, BSE and State Treasury. This reduces duplicate applications and helps in quick verification. Over 11 lakh students from ST, SC, OBC/SEBC and EBC backgrounds benefit every year.
Online Apply for Odisha Scholarships & Check Status
STEP 1: Open scholarship.odisha.gov.in and choose Register under Student Login page if you are new student. Existing users can Login to their account.
STEP 2: Enter Aadhaar number and proceed. Complete basic details to create login account.
STEP 3: Generate OTR on scholarships.gov.in and keep the OTR number ready. Enter this OTR in Odisha portal when asked.
STEP 4: Login at scholarship.odisha.gov.in with User ID and Password.
STEP 5: Choose Department and Scheme name from the list.
STEP 6: Fill student, academic, eligibility and bank details carefully.
STEP 7: Click “Save as draft” to review later or “Next” to continue.

What is Odisha Scholarship Portal scholarship.odisha.gov.in?
Odisha State Scholarship Portal was first launched on 28 October 2020 to bring 20+ schemes from 6 departments on one platform. It reduces paperwork, gives simple access from mobile or desktop, and supports direct bank transfer through IFMS.
Portal is linked with Aadhaar e-KYC, SAMS, e-District and BSE databases to make sure only genuine students apply and receive money. Institutions and departments get live dashboards to verify and approve on time.
