Madhya Pradesh government has launched a new MP Rural Transport Scheme at Kagpur Village in Vidisha district on 26 May 2022. While launching एमपी ग्रामीण परिवहन सेवा योजना 2024, CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan said that transporters can now ply buses on short routes and if any losses occurs then govt. will provide financial assistance. Youths who will purchase buses will get support from MP state govt. and for running these buses also, govt. will provide financial aid. MP Rural Transport Scheme 2024
On the launch event of MP Rural Transport Scheme, CM said that although a network of roads has been laid in every village of the state, still good transport services are not available to commuters in rural areas. The state government is launching a rural transport service which will gradually be expanded to the entire Madhya Pradesh.
Now buses will run from village to village and commuters will travel comfortably in buses. Chouhan said that the transporters refrain from plying buses on short routes as they have to suffer losses. The government has decided to provide them with assistance and facilities to run buses on these routes, so that they earn profit. This is a unique rural transport scheme and will be extended to remote villages.

मुख्यमंत्री शिवराज सिंह चौहान ने विदिशा में कहा कि “आज एक अभूतपूर्व ग्रामीण परिवहन सेवा प्रारंभ की जा रही है। बस वाले इस रूट पर बस से नहीं चलाते क्योंकि यह घाटे के रूट हैं। मैं युवाओं से कहना चाहता हूं कि कि आप लोग बस खरीदें हम उस पर भी सहयोग करेंगे और उन बसों को चलाने में हेतु आपको पैसा भी देंगे ताकि घाटा किसी भी कीमत पर ना हो। विदिशा के साथ-साथ सम्पूर्ण मध्यप्रदेश के विकास के लिए मैं और मेरी सरकार संकल्पित है।”
Along with the launch of MP Rural Transport Scheme, CM also presented rural transport service operation certificates to drivers.
Other Major Initatives by CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan
On 26 May 2022, CM also performed “bhoomi pujan” of development works worth several crores. He distributed moong among students of primary and secondary classes. Chouhan also honoured shooting ball players of Madhya Pradesh who have been selected for international competition during the function. Chouhan said that the government has decided that water from Sanjay Sagar Dam will be supplied through pipeline to some villages of ths region at a cost of Rs. 208 crore 94 lakh.
CM mentioned that water will also be supplied to the downstream villages also through stopdams etc. Efforts will be made to supply water to every village. Also, tap water will be supplied to every house under the “Na Jal Yojana”. He said that everyone will get a pucca house. In Vidisha district, 83 thousand 719 persons will be sanctioned Pradhan Mantri Awas under Awas Plus scheme. Chouhan said that the government is ensuring food, clothing, shelter, education and medicine to the people in the state. He also spoke about doubling the income of farmers and increasing the income of women of self-help groups.
Chouhan said that elections to panchayat and local bodies would be held soon in the state. In places where the election will be held unopposed, special facilities will be given by the government. Such panchayats and local bodies will get the benefit of all the schemes. Chouhan said that everyone should cooperate in the operation of anganwadi. Farmers should provide free foodgrain. Revenue and transport minister Govind Singh Rajput gave detailed information about the scheme.
