Registration form asks for name of the deceased person, date of death and traveller details such as name, gender, age, mobile number and Aadhaar or Jan Aadhaar card number. Documents Required for Free Travel to Haridwar

Before travelling under Moksh Kalash Yojana, keep these documents ready and carry them throughout the journey:

  1. Death certificate of deceased person, issued by Moksh Dhaam, municipality, corporation or panchayat
  2. Aadhaar card or Jan Aadhaar card of all travellers
  3. Recent passport size photograph of travellers

Note: relatives of a person who died before 1 March 2020 are not eligible for Moksh Kalash special registration.

Rules and Important Points to Know

Few conditions apply once registration for Moksh Kalash Yojana is done. Keep these points in mind before planning the trip:

  • Only two persons are allowed free travel with the Moksh Kalash on a single registration.
  • Bus booking for onward and return journey happens together, and applicant has to return on the same vehicle used to travel to Haridwar.
  • Stay in Haridwar is not allowed under this scheme, so plan the ash immersion within the same day.
  • Applicant must carry Aadhaar card along with death certificate throughout the trip and show it to bus conductor if asked.
  • Only applicants who complete online registration in advance get free travel benefit under Moksh Kalash Yojana.
