Chief Minister Scholarship Scheme (CMSS) 2026: Gujarat government is currently accepting online applications for CMSS 2026, also called Mukhyamantri Shishyavrutti Yojana, for students from seven fixed needy categories. Online application closes on 14 August 2026 up to 6 PM, and document verification at Help Centres must be completed by 21 August 2026.
This scholarship covers tuition fee support for students studying diploma, degree, medical, engineering and other professional courses in Gujarat. Knowledge Consortium of Gujarat (KCG), Ahmedabad, runs the scheme, and approved amount goes directly into the student's Aadhaar-linked bank account through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT). CMSS was first launched in February 2022 as extra support on top of Mukhyamantri Yuva Swavalamban Yojana (MYSY) for meritorious students, and it now runs as a full scholarship scheme of its own for highly needy students.
