Delhi government invites online applications for Nursery School Admission 2022-2023 at edudel.nic.in portal. All the parents who want to get their child below 6 years of age admitted in entry level classes (Nursery / KG / 1st) in private unaided recognized schools can now submit application forms. Delhi Nursery School Admission 2022-23 application forms are available either at the school premises or at the official website for online filling.
Interested parents / wards can fill application form for Nursery Admission 2022-23 in Delhi at the official website of Directorate of Education (DoE) of Delhi. These nursery school admissions are for open seats (other than EWS / DG / CWSN category seats) in more than 1700 private schools and the number of vacant seats is yet to be disclosed. The start date to fill nursery admission forms in Delhi is 15 December 2021 while the last date is 21 January 2022. Parents are also requested to check the age limit, criteria, documents and notification for nursery private school admission before filling the online application form.
Delhi Nursery School Admission 2022-23 Apply Online
Directorate of Education has released the Delhi Nursery Admissions 2022-23 schedule. The registration process for entry level classes for open seats in private unaided schools in Delhi will commence from December 15, 2021 onwards. The admission forms will be available on the schools’ website from December 15 till January 21, 2022.
The details of the children who have applied for the school for admission under open seats will be uploaded on January 21, 2022 and marks will be uploaded on January 28, 2022. The first list of selected candidates will be displayed on February 4, 2022 and second list will be displayed on February 21, 2022. The resolution of queries of parents will be from February 5 to 12, 2022. The admission process will close on March 31, 2022.
How to Fill Delhi Nursery Admission Application / Registration Form
The application process has been started for the nursery / KG / 1st class admissions from 15 Dec 2021. Below is the complete procedure to apply online for Delhi Nursery Admissions 2022-23:-

STEP 2: At the homepage, click at the “Govt. School Admission” link to apply online for Class 1 / KG / Nursery School Admissions in Delhi.

STEP 4: After submitting the application forms, candidates will be eligible and can then wait for the draw of seats as mentioned in the dates section below.
The DoE circular issued on Tuesday has made it mandatory for schools to charge only Rs. 25 for the application form and have made it optional for parents to purchase the school prospectus. The upper age limit is below six years of age for admission round for the open seats. Meanwhile, the private schools have been given autonomy to decide their criteria for admission, and upload them on the DoE website by 14 December 2021.
Age Criteria for Delhi Nursery School Admission 2022-2023
For Delhi nursery admissions for the session 2022-23, the age criteria has been revealed as shown in the table below:-
For Pre-School (Nursery) | Less than 4 years as on 31st March of the year in which the admission is sought. |
For Pre-Primary (KG) | Less than 5 years as on 31st March of the year in which the admission is sought. |
For Class 1st | Less than 6 years as on 31st March of the year in which the admission is sought. |
This time all the children whose age is not more than 4 years can apply online for nursery school admission in Delhi. Similarly, for admission in KG classes, children age must not exceed 5 years while this age criteria for 1st class is that the children age must not exceed 6 years.

Delhi government officials had in December said that a proposal to scrap nursery admissions is being considered as the schools have been closed for nine months due to COVID-19. However, Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia last month had ruled out scrapping nursery admission.
