State Government of Assam has announced Assam Orunodoi 3.0 list to support women from economically weaker sections of society. Under the 3.0 version of the Orunodoi scheme, the state government will include more than 40 lakh women in the beneficiary list, up from just 17 lakh in its 2.0 version.
Each beneficiary whose name is present in Orunodoi 3.0 list will receive Rs. 1,250 monthly, which is an increase from Rs. 830 being provided until now.
Orunodoi scheme was originally launched by the Chief Minister of Assam, Sri Himanta Biswa Sarma, on 2nd October 2020. Assam Orunodoi 3.0 scheme will be launched on 17th September 2025. Under the new scheme, the number of beneficiaries has increased to more than 40 lakh and each woman beneficiary will now receive Rs. 1,250 per month.
