AP Jagananna Jeeva Kranthi Scheme 2024 has been launched by the Andhra Pradesh. In this scheme, the state govt. will provide sheep and goat units to BC / SC / ST / Minority women. The women between the age of 45 to 60 years would get these sheep and goats through Rythu Bharosa Kendras with government financial assistance. Jagananna Jeeva Kranthi Scheme 2024
The YSRCP president YS Jagan Mohan Reddy who has been implementing several welfare schemes ever since he became chief minister of Andhra Pradesh has launched AP Jagananna Jeeva Kranthi Scheme. The Andhra Pradesh state government will spend Rs. 1868.63 crore to distribute 2.49 lakh sheep and goat units. Each unit contains either 14 sheep or goats.
Beneficiaries of AP Jagananna Jeeva Kranthi Scheme
As per the scheme, sheep and goat units will be distributed to women belonging to the following communities:-
- Backward Classes (BC)
- Scheduled Castes (SC)
- Scheduled Tribes (ST)
- Minority communities
Only those women from the above mentioned communities whose age lies between the ages of 45 and 60 years will get sheeps and goats through RBKs.
Assistance Amount in Jagananna Jeeva Kranthi Yojana
In the AP Jagananna Jeeva Kranthi Yojana 2024, the assistance amount is fixed at Rs. 75,000 for women beneficiaries. This price includes the cost of transport and insurance. Now check the next section to see the species of sheep which are to be distributed Including the the beneficiaries.
Species of Sheep / Goat in AP Jagananna Jeeva Kranthi Scheme
All the women beneficiaries can purchase any species of sheep which are as follows:-
- Nellore Brown
- Macharla Brown
- Vizianagaram breeds
- Black Bengal in goats
- Native breeds
Only one unit of sheep and goat would be distributed to each beneficiary of AP Jagananna Jeeva Kranthi Scheme 2024. The AP government has entered into an agreement with Allana Foods for this purpose.
3 Phase Implementation of Sheeps / Goats Distribution Scheme
The Andhra Pradesh state government hopes that their cultivation will provide employment to landless poor women. The AP government has formulated a transparent process to avoid any corruption in the process of purchase and distribution of these units. The scheme to distribute sheeps and goats will be implemented in three phases which are as follows:-
- Phase 1: Distribution of 20,000 units in the 1st installment till March 2021.
- Phase 2: Distribution of 1,30,000 units in the 2nd installment from April to August 2021.
- Phase 3: Distribution of 99,000 units in the 3rd installment from September to December 2021.
